Steam Lasted  Long Time In This Country

We visited Zimbabwe (then Rhodesia) in 1975/6. Back then it was relatively safe, except for the occasional raid by terrorists.

Of course, that didn’t bother us, and we camped beside the rail line on many occasions. The only trouble we had was when a farmer flushed us out, telling us we were crazy and could be killed by Terrorists. The footprints outside the tent after one night near Hwange suggested being trampled by Elephants was a greater danger!

Here is some footage taken in 2011 around Victoria Falls. I suspect this was a tour train.
